What’s this site about?

There is no escaping the waves of regulation affecting every aspect of the financial marketplace. At Fidessa, we have a dedicated team constantly reviewing relevant materials and pulling together key facts, news and industry comment to keep up to date.

Originally created as an internal resource to help Fidessa staff understand and follow the progress of MiFID II from consultation through to implementation, we have since expanded our coverage to include Dodd-Frank, MAD II, Short Selling Regulation, Financial Transaction Taxes and UCITS IV, amongst other regulatory initiatives. Through Regulation Matters this rich seam of information, analysis, commentary and news is now freely available to the wider community.

Here you can tap into Fidessa’s knowledge of, and views on, the emerging reforms in financial regulation and digest them in a palatable form. The site provides a forum for views and commentary on what’s going on, as and when it happens. Our regular blogs and your comments contribute to an evolving consensus within the financial community on the impact of changes in financial regulation. Regulation Matters enables market participants of all types to navigate through the proposed regulations and directives, helping you identify what you have to plan for and what opportunities lie ahead.

Join the Regulation Matters community and subscribe to receive regular updates. Have your say on how your market is being regulated; say what you really think! If you don’t like what you see tell us, and if there’s something in particular you’d like us to cover, let us know by emailing the Regulation Team here at Fidessa.
